In this set of three Drive Thru History episodes, we start our adventure in the Big Apple. We begin our escapade in New York City, as we learn about the Battle on Long Island and George Washington's saga involving Divine Providence. After we visit a hut that Hessian soldiers inhabited at the time, we check out the Morris-Jumel mansion one of George Washington's temporary headquarters. Next up is the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument which commemorates thousands of P.O.W.'s that were detained in the HMS Jersey. After we grab some grub at the oldest pizzeria in the country, we visit the the battle sites of Fort Washington, Harlem Heights, and the starting point of America's first transcontinental highway. Episode eleven brings us to Wall Street, where we check out Federal Hall and the New York Stock Exchange. After we stroll down the street to St. Pauls Chapel (across from Ground Zero), we head to Saratoga and West Point as we learn of one of the most notorious traitors in American History. Episode twelve brings us to the site of Washington's famous crossing of the Delaware and the battle sites of Trenton, Princeton, Morristown, and Monmouth. As with all Drive Thru History episodes, adventure, Dave's special humor, and the integration of our Christian history is always part of every show.
